Terms of Service

Welcome to GT Essentials (“GT Essentials,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the GT Essentials website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. DEFINITIONS

  • Customer means any individual who uses the Platform to browse, book, or purchase beauty services or products.

  • Vendor means any beauty professional, salon, barber, nail technician, or beauty product seller offering services or products on the Platform.

  • User means any Customer or Vendor accessing or using the Platform.

  • Services/Products means beauty and grooming services or products listed on the Platform.

  • Transaction means any booking or purchase made through the Platform.

2. ELIGIBILITY & ACCOUNT REGISTRATION

  • Users must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make a Transaction.

  • You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when creating an account.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and all activities under your account.

3. PLATFORM ROLE & DISCLAIMER

GT Essentials is a digital marketplace that connects Customers with independent Vendors.

  • We do not provide beauty services ourselves.

  • Vendors are solely responsible for the services or products they offer.

  • GT Essentials does not guarantee the outcome, quality, or suitability of any service or product beyond Vendor verification processes.

4. USE OF THE PLATFORM

Users agree to:

  • Use the Platform only for lawful purposes

  • Not misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform

  • Not engage in fraudulent, misleading, or harmful conduct

  • Not bypass the Platform to complete off-platform Transactions intended to avoid fees

5. BOOKINGS, ORDERS & PAYMENTS

  • All Transactions must be completed through the Platform.

  • Prices are set by Vendors and may include applicable taxes and service fees.

  • Payments are processed securely through GT Essentials’ payment partners.

  • GT Essentials may deduct applicable platform fees or commissions before settling Vendors.

6. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

  • Cancellation and refund eligibility depend on the Vendor’s stated policy at the time of booking.

  • GT Essentials may assist with dispute resolution but does not guarantee refunds unless required by law or stated policy.

7. VENDOR OBLIGATIONS (SUMMARY)

Vendors agree to:

  • Deliver services and products professionally, safely, and as described

  • Comply with all applicable Nigerian laws, health, and safety regulations

  • Maintain valid licenses and permits where required

  • Not offer expired, unsafe, counterfeit, or prohibited products

(Detailed Vendor obligations are governed by the separate Vendor Partnership Agreement.)

8. USER CONTENT

Users may submit reviews, ratings, images, or other content. By doing so, you grant GT Essentials a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and promote such content on the Platform.
We reserve the right to remove content that is false, offensive, or violates these Terms.

9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All Platform content, trademarks, logos, and software belong to GT Essentials or its licensors.
Users may not copy, modify, distribute, or exploit any Platform content without written permission.

10. SUSPENSION & TERMINATION

GT Essentials may suspend or terminate a User’s account if the User:

  • Violates these Terms

  • Engages in fraud, abuse, or unsafe conduct

  • Harms the Platform, Vendors, or Customers

Users may terminate their account at any time through account settings.

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • GT Essentials is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

  • GT Essentials’ total liability relating to any Transaction is limited to the amount paid through the Platform for that Transaction.

This does not apply to fraud, gross negligence, or breaches of law.

12. INDEMNITY

Users agree to indemnify and hold GT Essentials harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • Misuse of the Platform

  • Breach of these Terms

  • Violation of any law or third-party rights

13. CONFIDENTIALITY & DATA PROTECTION

  • User data is handled in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023.

  • Our Privacy Policy governs how personal data is collected, used, and stored.

14. FORCE MAJEURE

GT Essentials shall not be liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, or government actions.

15. GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTE RESOLUTION

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Disputes shall first be resolved amicably. If unresolved within fourteen (14) days, disputes shall be referred to mediation at the Lagos Multi Door Courthouse (LMDC). Either Party may seek relief in a court of competent jurisdiction where necessary.

16. CHANGES TO TERMS

GT Essentials may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
